Bath's winning streak ended on saturday with a 6-3 loss to Milan. The pitching staff had to go to emergency bullpen help when the scheduled starter was unable to go. Ryan Orr took the ball on 1 day rest and pitched 3 strong innings, followed by Scotty Kirkpatrick, and Grant Svendsen. A late offensive rally was cut short, ending the Bees perfect season. Orr & Kirkpatrick lead the way offensively with 2 hits each.
Bath quickly returned to its winning ways with a 10-1 victory over Whitmore Lake in saturdays consolation game. Austin Townsend pitched a complete game for his first victory. Austin struck out 9 and walked only 1 in his stellar performance. Brandon Wahrer lead the way offensively going 2 for 3 and stealing 5 bases. The Bees are now 19-1.
The team gets back to league action when they host Laingsburg on Monday 5/9 at 4:00.
