The Bath Fighting Bees got off to a strong start in the state tournament last night as they scored 6 quick runs in the first and never looked back on their way to a 18-3, 3 inning, drubbing of the Redskins of Saranac. Nick Stiles picked up the win, improving to 9-2, throwing 2 innings with Brodie Megill closing things out in the third. Leading the team on offense was Nick Stiles going 2 for 4 with a double and 4 RBI's, Ryan Orr going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's, Brandon Wahrer going 1 for 1 with 3 RBI's and Brenden Plemmons going 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI's.
The victory earns the Bees a birth in the District semifinals against Lansing Catholic on Saturday June 4th at 10:00am at Bath High School.
